Mist Shower Litek Pharma
Litek Pharma’s mist shower is a decontamination system designed to prevent the dispersion of particles and toxic powders adhered to operators’ clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE) before leaving potentially contaminated areas.
The system generates a fine water mist that saturates the chamber, allowing micro‑drops to encapsulate contaminants present on the surface of garments and PPE. This significantly reduces the risk of inhaling high‑potency powders during the degowning process, thereby increasing personnel safety.
The mist provides the required humidity for particle capture without causing condensation, meaning no drains or liquid waste treatment are required.
This simplifies both installation and maintenance.
In addition, the system can incorporate ATEX‑certified components for safe operation in environments with explosion risk and offers adaptable configuration options such as doors with 90° or 180° opening, facilitating integration into different spaces and workflows.
Advanced filtration
The system incorporates HEPA H14 filters on both air supply and return, ensuring maximum protection against particles and contaminants. This dual filtration guarantees that the air used and exhausted during the decontamination process meets the most demanding cleanliness and safety standards for GMP cleanrooms and controlled environments.
The unit also features a vertical unidirectional laminar airflow system designed to protect the operator’s head and respiratory tract by creating a clean air barrier during operation. This further enhances personnel safety during the degowning process by reducing the risk of inhaling released particles and contaminants.
Equipment construction
Manufactured in AISI 304 stainless steel, the unit includes hygienic doors with an interlocking system that prevents simultaneous opening towards two different areas. This avoids direct communication between spaces and reduces the risk of introducing or transferring contaminated particles. Optionally, the unit can be equipped with a BIBO (Bag-In/Bag-Out) filter change system, allowing safe filter replacement while minimizing operator exposure and preventing contamination of the surrounding environment.
The system is equipped with a control unit and an intuitive touchscreen that allow automatic and precise management and monitoring of the decontamination cycle. An internal color‑coded system enables easy identification of the different cycle phases, providing clear visual progress indication and ensuring an intuitive and safe user experience for personnel.
Safe waste extraction
To ensure the safe removal of contaminated garments, the mist shower incorporates a waste outlet with a continuous liner. This system allows PPE and clothing to be removed without the risk of particle dispersion, protecting both personnel and the environment while complying with the strictest safety protocols.
Easy integration
The mist shower is equipped with internal pressure control systems, facilitating integration into laboratory pressure cascade configurations. This feature allows the system to be adapted to different environments and requirements while ensuring maximum decontamination effectiveness and regulatory compliance. It can also be easily integrated into pharmaceutical cleanroom panels, enabling fast and airtight installation without compromising area classification.
